English News 27th march: president Pallotta’s interview, Antonio Sanabria’s transfer and Rudi Garcia’s renewal.

Today’s main update is definately the interview president Pallotta released to Sky Sports. Unexpectedly, the stadium wasn’t the main topic of the interview, as he talked about George Soros, an American businessman, who was about to acquire a lot of AS Roma stocks back in 2008. Pallotta confirmed that there actually was a negotiation but it faded away just at the end, contraddicting what Rossella Sensi said (she denied that Soros was interested in purchasing Roma).

He also talked about Rudi Garcia’s renewal, saying that the coach isn’t in a hurry but is focused on training the team. He also said that it is very weird that in Italy everyone is used to renew contracts every year.

This morning Falcao, former Roma player in 1982-83 scudetto, went to “Roma Ti Amo” exhibition, after being present to yesterday’s press conference of the new stadium.

Still talking about the stadium, the Wall Street Journal wrote an article about AEG Facilities, one of the most important entertainment societies in the world, which is supposedly interested in sponsoring the project.

The most important market news is about Antonio Sanabria. The former Barcelona young talent is now on loan to Sassuolo and won’t probably return to Roma at the end of the season as he is probably going to face another year of loan. He will stay at Sassuolo if the club stays in Serie A next year.

In conclusion, Rudi Garcia will hold a press conference before Sassuolo – Roma this saturday at 13.15 AM, and the society started selling season tickets for next year. You can find all the info here
